A major University liked our 7 Steps to Project Success submission and contacted us about
creating a 7 Steps to Project Success Planning Methodology specifically internship project. Below is the methodology we created with items specifically designed for that University.
Scope
The 7 Steps to Project Success Planning Methodology has been applied on many projects and has been the topic of on-line, in-person, and self-study classes as well as executive presentations. The most important step is the first one: the project purpose, i.e., what organizations, or people, will benefit from the project’s deliverables and how will they benefit. The planning process results in PMWC’s No-Regrets projects.
Goal
The university project should deliver actionable tasks for PMWC to take to encourage formal adoption of the 7 Steps planning methodology by many corporations. These steps must require very little time and money. A slide presentation is the best form in which to deliver this result. The measure of accomplishment will be PMWC’s agreement that some of the interns’ suggestions will be acted upon.
In future PMW newsletters, other projects for this university will be described.
